Welcome to pycaption’s documentation!¶

pycaption is a Python library for reading, converting, and writing closed caption formats. It supports bidirectional conversion between DFXP/TTML, SAMI, SCC, SRT, WebVTT, and MicroDVD — preserving styling, positioning, and timing information where the target format allows.
